[Remote] Regional Finance Specialist

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Milestone Retirement is hiring a Regional Finance Specialist to serve as the primary finance partner for a portfolio of senior living communities. The role oversees community finance operations and coaches Business Office Managers to strengthen their teams and processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AR, billing, collections, and month-end close for assigned communities
• Oversee AP and vendor compliance, including W-9s, 1099 support, and approved payment processes
• Ensure timely review, processing, and payment of real and personal property taxes, and complete annual business personal property filings
• Review community financial statements, explain variances, and support budgets and forecasts
• Conduct financial and business office reviews, document findings, and follow corrective actions to completion
• Train and coach Business Office Managers on finance standards and processes
• Support financial onboarding of new communities and system implementations
• Maintain a regional financial scorecard and report results to leadership

Skills

• Equivalent experience considered
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, AR/AP, or business office operations
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, general ledger, budgeting, month-end close, and internal controls
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial, accounting, or ERP systems
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred
• Senior living, healthcare, or multi-site experience
• Medicaid and third-party billing
• Property tax filings
