[Remote] Sales Consultant (Remote)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cengage is hiring a Sales Consultant to sell digital and print learning products to prospective customers. The role focuses on achieving sales goals, growing territory business, managing sales plans and forecasts, and building customer and industry relationships.

Responsibilities

• Engage in sales call activities to prospective customers to explore and present product solutions for our digital and print products
• Meet or exceed annual sales goals
• Create and implement strategic territory and business plans
• Drive new business to foster growth within the territory
• Provide accurate forecast and sales activity reporting using company sales tools and historical data
• Participate in network building opportunities within territory, including conferences, group presentations, and industry functions
• Other duties as needed

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching, and education sales preferably in the publishing industry
• Proven record of consistent sales growth and goal achievement performance
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills
• Ability to build and execute complex sales solutions
• Ability to establish, cultivate and maintain effective working relationship with current and prospective customers, internal business partners, colleagues, and management
• Documented territory management and organizational skills
• Strong competency in the use of business technologies, multiple applications, CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Sales experience with exceptional knowledge of digital information delivery, education, or the informational technology industry

Benefits

• Eligible to participate in the company’s variable Sales incentive compensation program; $12,500.00 USD annual individual target. Actual incentive earnings are not guaranteed and may be more or less than the target amount based on achievement of performance goals and the terms of the applicable incentive compensation plan.
