Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Corbion is hiring a Director of Sales to lead and develop Account Managers and drive business growth. The role develops sales strategies, builds customer partnerships, analyzes markets, and guides teams in pursuing strategic growth opportunities in the food industry.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales leadership to develop growth-oriented strategies and tactics for the global marketplace, prioritizing sustainability and profitability
- Foster partnerships with new and existing customers, identifying needs and providing appropriate product recommendations to grow business opportunities
- Analyze and understand global market and competitor trends to become industry expert. Use knowledge to identify sales opportunities, uncover new target markets, monitor competitor activity and develop and implement appropriate response strategies
- Recruit, train, develop, motivate and retain Account Managers, sales support specialists, and technical service specialists throughout LATAM
- Ensure team is poised for future business growth in defined strategic growth areas (demand assessment, project initiation, positioning, and execution) with target customers
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8+ years of experience in technical sales, account management, and/or new business development within the food/ingredient industry and 3+ years of experience managing a highly successful sales team
- Track record of successful sales and business growth results and exceeding customer expectations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and Sales Force
- Preferably in Food Science or related field of study
- Master's Degree a plus
