[Remote] Sales Engineering Management

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Trimble is hiring a Sales Engineering Manager/Director for Transporeon, its transportation and logistics solutions business. The role leads the sales engineering team and technical sales strategy, supports enterprise sales cycles, and aligns field insights with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Professional Services.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead a center of excellence for sales engineers focused on Transporeon solutions, driving operational alignment and OKR achievement
• Coach, resource, and develop sales engineering teams through tailored development plans and structured performance management
• Actively engage in high-leverage sales cycles, industry events, and strategic customer projects to present complex software value propositions
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Professional Services, and Product teams to align field insights with upcoming product strategies
• Oversee the deployment and continuous improvement of sales engineering presentation technology stacks and demonstration workflows

Skills

• Extensive leadership experience managing a Sales Engineering team, ideally within software or SaaS environments
• Deep domain knowledge of logistics operations and road transportation systems
• Proven expertise in TMS (Transportation Management Systems) or Real-Time Visibility platforms
• Demonstrated track record of achieving annual ARR targets, meeting OKR milestones, and successfully presenting to mid-market and enterprise accounts
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in software sales engineering leadership
• Experience in international freight modes beyond road transportation
• Advanced skill in navigating complex technical negotiations and aligning software capabilities to client business objectives
• Proven capability to independently resolve complex technical challenges during new account acquisitions
