[Remote] Senior Accountant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Mission Staffing is recruiting a Senior Accountant for a rapidly growing, private equity-backed wealth management firm. The role owns revenue and compensation accounting, supports acquisition integration and financial reporting, strengthens accounting processes and controls, and manages an Advisor Compensation Analyst.

Responsibilities

• Own recurring revenue accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and close deliverables in accordance with ASC 606
• Support revenue settlement analysis and accounting integration for newly acquired advisory practices
• Reconcile billing systems, accounts receivable, cash collections, and general ledger balances
• Oversee advisor compensation, payroll, bonus accruals, and incentive compensation accounting
• Strengthen internal controls, improve accounting processes, and support audits and financial reporting
• Manage and review the work of an Advisor Compensation Analyst
• Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Payroll, Billing, and Corporate Development

Skills

• 5+ years of Audit or compensation accounting experience
• Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition or compensation accounting
• Strong analytical skills
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a growing environment
• Long-term incentive (LTI) experience
• CPA or progress toward the CPA
