Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Provoke Solutions is hiring a Senior BI Developer and Data Engineer to own a client data platform from source ingestion through curated data models. The role focuses on building and operating Microsoft Fabric pipelines and transformations, with secondary responsibility for Power BI reporting, platform reliability, security, governance, and client collaboration.
Responsibilities

- Designs and builds Bronze, Silver, and Gold transformations, including incremental processing, change data capture, and schema evolution
- Works with semi-structured data such as DynamoDB documents, flattening and modeling it for reliable downstream use
- Designs the Gold layer using dimensional modeling to build enterprise-ready datasets, and tunes pipeline and query performance
- Writes and troubleshoots T-SQL and PySpark transformations, enforces data quality, and diagnoses data issues back to their source
- Owns the data platform in production and troubleshoots issues end to end across both the AWS ingestion path (DynamoDB Streams, Lambda, Firehose, S3) and Fabric, tracing failures back to their root cause and driving them to resolution
- Builds automated data quality validation, reconciliation, and monitoring, with alerting and observability across the pipelines to keep the production platform reliable
- Designs and deploys Power BI reports from Fabric Gold-layer data, writes DAX measures for enterprise KPIs, and owns the report lifecycle from requirements through end-user testing

- Implements Row-Level Security via Entra ID and documents data flows and KPI definitions for governance
- Authors operational runbooks and as-built documentation for deployment, RLS validation, and handoff
- Translates client business requirements into data models and report designs, and supports backlog triage and estimation
- Acts as a trusted technical advisor to client stakeholders, explaining complex data and reporting issues in plain, non-technical language
- Operates within client-controlled environments and approval gates, and adapts to each client's tools and processes
- Produces client-ready deliverables and leads knowledge transfer so client teams can operate and support the solution once handed over
