Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. A stealth-stage defense company is hiring a Senior Cloud & Network Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and own its network and cloud backbone. The role spans multi-site enterprise networking, cloud connectivity, new-site infrastructure, manufacturing and lab support, Microsoft environment baselining, and shared on-call incident response.
Responsibilities
- Network design, build and configuration across multiple sites: VLANs, segmentation, routing, switching, firewalls and wireless
- Cloud managed networking (Cisco Meraki or similar) and site to site VPN
- Cloud infrastructure and connectivity, including hybrid links between on prem and cloud
- Standing up new sites from an empty building: network, firewalls, servers and end user technology
- Working with OT and manufacturing teams to support production and lab environments
- Baseline Microsoft environment (Azure, M365, Entra ID, Intune) kept sound and well documented
- Baseline security controls only, a dedicated security hire will own the deeper work
- Shared on call rotation and incident response for critical infrastructure
Skills
- 7+ years in network, cloud or infrastructure engineering, hands on and architecture capable
- Strong network engineering: routing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, TLS, VPN and firewall policy
- Hands on with enterprise networking platforms such as Cisco Meraki and similar
- Cloud infrastructure experience
- Experience managing multiple environments or sites
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and identity basics
- Scripting or automation in PowerShell, Bash or Python
- Must be a U.S. Person under export control regulations (ITAR/EAR)
- Azure preferred
- Experience supporting OT, manufacturing or lab environments
- Linux administration
- Virtualization and storage
- Terraform or Bicep
- NIST or CMMC exposure
- Azure Government or GCC High
