[Remote] Senior Financial Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Amplify is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial analysis, modeling, and strategic insight for organizational decision-making. The role partners with Finance, Product, Operations, and other teams on budgeting, forecasting, performance reviews, workforce planning, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary FP&A partner for multiple departments across the organization, proactively identifying financial risks and opportunities and improving processes
• Lead monthly financial performance reviews with department heads, delivering variance analysis, root cause assessments, forward-looking recommendations, and communicating actionable insights to leadership
• Lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives, developing scalable workflows and automated solutions that reduce manual effort and increase reporting accuracy
• Develop and maintain executive-level dashboards and reporting packages that track key financial and operational KPIs to guide data-driven decision-making
• Lead the end-to-end FTE reporting process for budgeting and forecasting, serving as the subject matter expert for workforce data
• Drive data integrity initiatives by partnering with the People/HR team to improve cross-functional workforce planning processes
• Define, propose, and champion system enhancements and data infrastructure improvements based on business challenges, performance trends, and strategic outcomes to improve reporting and forecast accuracy

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 5+ years of financial analysis experience within a corporate Finance or FP&A environment
• Demonstrated experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and project-based analysis
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Proven ability to analyze complex business problems using financial modeling and large data sets
• Experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership
• Ability to extract, manipulate, and synthesize data from financial and operational systems
• Strong project management and excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority deliverables simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in the Education, Technology, or Publishing industries
• Advanced financial modeling expertise
• Familiarity with Salesforce, NetSuite, Pigment, Tableau and/or Looker
• Experience with 3-statement modeling
• Prior experience at a Big 4 accounting firm or management consulting firm is a plus
