Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cognizant is a digital services company seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer to develop modern, scalable enterprise applications. The role focuses on building cloud-native microservices and responsive web applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and AWS, while contributing to architecture, testing, CI/CD, and production support throughout the Agile development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
- Build responsive and user-friendly web applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA teams, and other stakeholders throughout the Agile development lifecycle
- Contribute to application architecture, code reviews, testing strategies, and development best practices
- Support CI/CD processes, troubleshoot production issues, and help ensure application scalability, security, and performance
Skills
- 7+ years of experience developing modern, scalable enterprise applications
- 7+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Strong hands-on experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Experience building microservices and RESTful APIs in distributed application environments
- Hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services and modern software delivery practices
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, including sprint planning, estimation, and delivery activities
- Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized application deployments
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation tools
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and quality engineering practices
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Experience supporting large-scale modernization or cloud transformation initiatives
