Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. NinjaOne unifies IT through a platform for endpoint management, autonomous patching, backup, and remote access. The company is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer for its Emerging Products team to build new products from the ground up, focusing on backend Java/Kotlin development, APIs, data-driven insights, and React-based interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the API layer that powers our product's data experience — REST and/or GraphQL endpoints
- Java backend development to expose data-driven insights and scoring to the product surface
- Build and maintain React-based UI components for dashboards and workflows — think forms, toggles, and status indicators rather than highly designed interfaces
- Participate in architecture and design reviews as we take this product from early-stage to general availability
- Troubleshoot production issues across the technical stack using logs, metrics, and traces
- Participate in code reviews, document processes thoroughly, and contribute to cross-team initiatives as the team scales
- Other duties as needed
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of experience in Java software development for product applications, or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience with React for front-end development; comfortable in building UI components (forms, toggles, basic interactions) is expected
- 4+ years of experience working with highly scalable software systems
- Experience leveraging AI tooling to accelerate software development
- Working knowledge of a breadth of OOP design principles; expertise in scaling data structures and object-oriented design
- Knowledge of API best practices and REST service development
- Comfortable writing and troubleshooting SQL
- Relational database design and development experience
- Expert knowledge of quality testing practices, including front-end testing frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- This position is NOT eligible for Visa sponsorship
- Kotlin experience is a plus but not required
- GraphQL or gRPC is a plus
- Exposure to distributed/streaming data concepts is a plus, not a requirement
