Remote Position
[Remote] Senior Manager, Growth Marketing
🌍 Remote · United States
💼 Full-time
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Daily Upside is hiring a hands-on growth marketer to drive subscriber acquisition across its newsletter portfolio. The role focuses on executing and optimizing paid campaigns, partnerships, media buys, and social distribution while monitoring performance and testing growth tactics.
Responsibilities
- Hit subscriber targets daily. Track acquisition pacing against the goal for each brand, spot shortfalls early, and fix them the same day
- Run paid acquisition. Launch, manage and optimize campaigns on Meta, Google and other paid channels. That covers audience targeting, bidding, copy and creative testing, and holding cost-per-subscriber and subscriber-quality targets
- Run newsletter swaps and cross-promotions. Build and maintain a pipeline of swap and recommendation partners, negotiate terms, coordinate placements and track how each partner’s subscribers perform
- Source and execute media buys. Find sponsorship placements in other newsletters, podcasts and communities, negotiate rates, manage insertion orders and measure ROI
- Drive social distribution. Get our content and subscribe calls-to-action in front of new audiences on social media, working with editorial on what to post
- Report on performance. Own the daily and weekly growth dashboard: spend, CPA, volume, quality (open and engagement rates by source) and channel mix. Present results to leadership clearly and without spin
- Test constantly. Run a steady stream of channel, creative and landing-page tests. Bring the winners to leadership with a recommendation to scale
Skills
- 4–7 years in growth or performance marketing, ideally at a newsletter, media or subscription business
- Hands-on experience managing paid social and search budgets yourself, not only through agencies
- Experience with newsletter growth tactics such as swaps, paid recommendations and sponsorship buys
- Comfort in spreadsheets and ad-platform reporting; you can tell us your CPA by channel without looking it up
- You care about subscriber quality, not just volume: cheap subscribers who never open aren't a win
- You're organized enough to manage many partners and campaigns at once, and you follow up without being asked
- Clear, concise communication with leadership
- Ideally at a newsletter, media or subscription business
- Strongly preferred
Benefits
- Medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, and life insurance.
- Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
- 401k.
- Unlimited PTO, paid holidays, parental leave.
