[Remote] Senior Product Designer, New Verticals (AI Products)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Playlist is building AI-driven software for small businesses in health, beauty, and wellness. The Senior Product Designer will shape product direction and design end-to-end AI-native experiences, working directly with business owners and partnering with Product and Engineering to prototype, build, and improve the product.

Responsibilities

• Design an AI-native experiences. Determine when AI should assist, recommend, or act on a customer’s behalf—and when a straightforward interface is the better answer
• Shape the product direction. Partner with Product and Engineering to define the vision, priorities, and roadmap, connecting customer needs with business opportunity
• Get into the field. Build direct relationships with business owners and practitioners. Observe their work, test ideas, and iterate alongside them
• Own the end-to-end design. Take experiences from early concepts through onboarding, everyday workflows, launch, and ongoing improvement
• Build to learn. Use AI tools, interactive prototypes, and working software to make ideas tangible and test assumptions quickly
• Ship with a small team. Work closely with Product and Engineering to define requirements, make tradeoffs, and deliver useful increments
• Set the quality bar. Create a distinctive, cohesive experience with thoughtful interaction design, strong visual craft, and reusable foundations
• Design the system behind the product. Build reusable components, shared context, and AI-powered workflows that help the team create, iterate, and ship high-quality experiences at scale

Skills

• 7+ years of design experience, with experience building tools that businesses depend on day-to-day
• Active use of LLMs such as Claude or ChatGPT in your design workflow
• You've shipped 0→1 products and successfully scaled the customer base. You can walk through what broke, what worked, and what you'd do differently
• You've built with AI or built AI-native products. You have real opinions on where LLMs break, how to design for probabilistic outputs, and how to earn user trust in an AI-driven experience
• You're comfortable with ambiguity and high agency. You move without being told, define your own priorities, and thrive when the roadmap is yours to create
• You are energized by shaping product strategy, not just executing requirements
• Strong systems thinker who can design across workflows, ecosystems, and interconnected products
• Enjoy building something from a blank page
• Want direct access to the people using your product
• Think in systems and workflows as well as screens
• Bring a clear point of view and change it when the evidence changes
• Care about the details and know when to ship
