[Remote] Senior Project Development Manager - Modular Edge Computing & Distributed Infrastructure

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Odin Global is recruiting for a confidential infrastructure developer expanding into modular edge computing and distributed digital infrastructure. The Senior Project Development Manager will lead development of modular edge computing facilities from site identification through permitting, infrastructure planning, and construction readiness, while coordinating stakeholders across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead site identification, feasibility assessments, site control and acquisition activities for distributed edge computing infrastructure
• Evaluate prospective sites based on power availability, connectivity, zoning, permitting requirements and development feasibility
• Manage landowner negotiations, lease agreements and other site control arrangements
• Oversee multiple development projects across different jurisdictions
• Manage zoning, land use approvals, permitting and local regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with utilities to assess power capacity, electrical connections and infrastructure upgrades
• Work with engineering teams to evaluate site layouts, electrical requirements and infrastructure configurations
• Identify and mitigate development risks relating to permitting, power availability and site constraints
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers, technology providers and contractors on modular edge computing installations
• Support the integration of electrical infrastructure, modular computing equipment and associated site systems
• Oversee technical consultants and vendors to ensure projects meet development and deployment requirements
• Manage project schedules, development budgets and milestones through construction handover
• Support the establishment and expansion of the company's edge computing development platform
• Identify new development opportunities and assess market attractiveness
• Develop scalable processes for site acquisition, permitting and multi-site infrastructure deployment
• Collaborate with senior leadership on development strategy, project prioritisation and execution

Skills

• Significant experience in project development, site acquisition or infrastructure deployment within digital infrastructure, energy or related sectors
• Demonstrated experience managing site selection, zoning, permitting and utility coordination
• Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure, power availability and site development requirements
• Experience managing multiple projects, external consultants, contractors and infrastructure vendors
• Ability to independently lead projects through complex development and approval processes
• Edge Computing / Modular Data Centres: Development and deployment of distributed computing infrastructure, including modular installations
• Battery Energy Storage (BESS): Distributed storage development, interconnection, electrical infrastructure and permitting
• C&I Solar / Distributed Energy: Site origination, utility engagement, permitting and development of distributed energy projects
• Telecommunications Infrastructure: Distributed site development, zoning, permitting and multi-site infrastructure rollouts
• Data Centre Development: Site acquisition, power infrastructure, utility coordination and permitting for data centre facilities, particularly smaller-scale or distributed installations
• Direct involvement in modular edge computing or distributed data centre infrastructure projects
• Experience developing and deploying infrastructure across multiple geographically dispersed sites
• Familiarity with modular equipment configurations, connectivity requirements and associated power infrastructure
• Experience with behind-the-meter BESS or other distributed energy systems
• Experience establishing development processes or supporting the growth of a new infrastructure business vertical
