[Remote] Senior Project Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. People Group is recruiting for an unnamed specialist construction and project advisory consultancy. The Senior Project Manager leads data center projects on clients’ behalf from design through commissioning and handover, managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, procurement, and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead data center projects on the owner's behalf, from design through commissioning and handover
• Manage scope, schedule, budget and risk across design teams, contractors and vendors
• Oversee procurement of long-lead equipment such as generators, switchgear, UPS and cooling
• Direct onsite staff, including field project managers, and coordinate with cost and controls teams
• Report progress, risks and decisions clearly to client executives
• Support pursuits and help grow the companies data center project management practice

Skills

• Senior project management experience with data center delivery as a must
• Owner-side, owner's rep or construction manager background on large mission-critical projects
• Strong grasp of electrical and mechanical systems, commissioning and power-delivery timelines
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and remote teams
• PMP or similar credentials
