[Remote] Senior Software Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. BAE Systems is a defense, aerospace, and security company developing advanced electronics and technologies for national security customers. The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with Systems, Hardware, and Test engineers across requirements development, design, development, integration, and test, while preparing design and project artifacts for complex programs.

Responsibilities

• In this role, you will be an integrated team member, collaborating with Systems, Hardware, and Test engineers in one or more of the phases of Requirements Development, Design, Development, Integration and Test
• You will prepare design and project artifacts intended to be used within complex programs or across sets of programs in accordance with established processes
• We will provide you opportunities to learn, leverage our current technologies, incorporate new technologies, and be a leader in our engineering organization

• * Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
• * Background in embedded and/or application software development in C++
• * Foundation in Object-Oriented design and implementation principles
• * Experience with software and systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools
• * Experience performing software testing, validation, and verification activities
• * Strong problem-solving skills that translate to working software
• Typical Education and Experience:Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
• * Active DoD Secret level security clearance
• * Real-time embedded development
• * Full life cycle software development
• * C#, Python, Java
• * Green Hills/VxWorks/Windows/Linux OS
• * Continuous Integration Tools
• * GIT, Jira, Confluence
• * Agile Development experience
• * Designing and/or implementing software algorithms
