Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ensono is a technology adviser and managed service provider that helps clients achieve business outcomes through cross-platform technology expertise. The company is seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer to support, maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot critical mainframe applications while serving as a technical lead and guiding junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM
- Experience in enterprise-level ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Service Manager, etc.) and their operational workflows
- Worked on waterfall and agile methodology projects; capable of handling - Incidents, Service Requests and Change Requests simultaneously
- Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution for complex application and integration
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Mainframe applications and database queries
- Develop technical documentation (Knowledge Base articles, SOPs) for business and support teams
- Understand both functional and technical requirements and provide implementation/change options aligned with business needs
Skills
- * Education; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- * Experience; Extensive experience in mainframe application development, support and maintenance
- * Technical Skills: Proficiency in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM. Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies. Experience with version control systems and software development tools
- * Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- * US Citizen
