Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. WiserBrand is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build scalable, cloud-native backend systems. The role focuses on TypeScript and Node.js services, AWS infrastructure, CI/CD automation, distributed architectures, and collaboration on technical decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable backend services and APIs using TypeScript and Node.js
- Develop and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure and integrations
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and engineering standards
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and help break down complex initiatives into clear implementation tasks
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders on technical decisions
- Use AI tools to improve coding, documentation, debugging, and test creation
Skills
- 7+ years of backend software engineering experience
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js expertise
- Hands-on experience building scalable, event-driven APIs and distributed systems
- Strong AWS experience with Lambda, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS/Aurora, SQS/SNS, and EventBridge
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code: AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD automation
- Understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, and monitoring
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Practical use of AI tools in the development workflow
- Upper-Intermediate English or higher
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices
- Experience with observability tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry
- Experience mentoring engineers or contributing to technical leadership
