[Remote] Senior Thought Leadership Writer (Global Technology Company)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Astra Content is recruiting on behalf of the marketing department of an unnamed global technology company. The Senior Thought Leadership Writer will develop core narratives and a cross-team content strategy, creating thought leadership and other content that explains the company’s advertising solutions and engages advertisers and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Crafting core narratives and bringing them to life at key moments through original thought leadership and a comprehensive cross-team content strategy
• Developing messaging strategy, core narratives and content drumbeat
• Owning and activating content, including speeches, articles, internal messaging sources of truth, white papers, trends reports across owned, industry and cultural moments
• Establishing content marketing best practices and providing an editorial resource to the broader marketing team
• Think in fresh ways about how brands can use the company’s technology to build their businesses
• Write executive speeches, blog posts, presentations and compelling thought leadership pieces
• Work with cross-functional product marketing, regional marketing, research and PR teams to make sure their content reflects consumer insights and key product points

Skills

• 5 years editorial or writing experience
• A passion for writing and outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Ability to deliver content on time and to precise specifications in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
• Strong, relevant portfolio of writing samples
• Deep understanding of the marketing and digital fields
• Ability to think, plan and execute on multiple projects at once
• Unfortunately, visa sponsorships isn't available
• Former business or marketing journalist with big-league experience
• New York-city area highly preferred but other US locations possible
