[Remote] Social Media Intern

The Social Media Intern supports Gift’s presence across key social platforms by creating and scheduling content, engaging with communities, tracking performance, and contributing campaign ideas.

Responsibilities

• The Social Media Intern is a remote, contract role responsible for supporting Gift’s presence across key social platforms
• In this role, the intern will assist with planning and creating social media content, including posts, short-form video, and community updates aligned with the brand’s voice and mission
• Tasks include scheduling content, monitoring engagement, responding to comments and messages, and identifying opportunities to highlight creators and communities on Gift
• The intern will help track basic performance metrics, share insights with the team, and contribute ideas for campaigns that encourage authentic interaction and growth
• Collaboration with marketing and product team members is expected, with a focus on learning, experimenting, and refining social media efforts

Skills

• Ability to apply Social Media Marketing and Digital Marketing principles to support platform growth and engagement
• Skill in Social Media Content Creation, including drafting posts and basic visual or video assets that reflect the brand's tone
• Foundational understanding of Marketing concepts and audience behavior on social platforms
• Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on clear, inclusive, and community-centered messaging
• Familiarity with major social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter) and current trends relevant to creators and brands
• Curiosity about online communities, creator ecosystems, and new social products
• Prior internship or project experience
