[Remote] Software Engineer II - Collaborative Web Platform

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pantheon is a WebOps platform company that provides infrastructure for building, managing, and scaling modern websites. The Software Engineer II will build full-stack features for a real-time collaborative content platform, contribute to architecture and technical design, and collaborate with product and design teams to deliver maintainable software.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship full-stack features across backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code with shared ownership of quality
• Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions as an active participant, not just an implementer
• Collaborate closely with product and design to translate requirements into working, well-crafted software
• Integrate AI tooling into your development workflow and into the product itself
• Participate in code review and help maintain a high engineering bar across the team
• Learn and grow quickly — this is a team that will stretch you in the best possible way

Skills

• * 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience
• * Solid full-stack capability — you have shipped production code on both backend and frontend, and you are willing to stretch into whichever side a problem requires
• * Experience with modern API design: REST, GraphQL, or webhooks
• * Comfortable working in cloud-native environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• * Strong fundamentals: you write tests, understand tradeoffs, and think about maintainability
• * Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one backend language
• * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• * You are actively building with AI — using it in your development workflow or integrating it into the products you work on
