[Remote] Software Engineer Intern

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Aru Labs is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to help build and ship new internet products. The intern will work across frontend, backend, APIs, AI integrations, and product development, taking ideas from prototype through launch while learning through hands-on product building.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve web applications across frontend and backend
• Develop user interfaces using React
• Build APIs and backend services using Node.js and Express
• Work with MongoDB and other databases
• Integrate third-party APIs and AI/LLM services
• Debug, test, and improve existing products
• Deploy applications and help maintain production systems
• Work with product and design to turn ideas into working experiences
• Prototype new ideas and iterate quickly based on feedback
• Learn how real products are built and shipped

Skills

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Good understanding of JavaScript or TypeScript
• Familiarity with React and Node.js
• Basic understanding of APIs, databases, and web development
• Experience building personal projects, college projects, or side projects
• Comfortable learning new technologies independently
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Someone who enjoys building things from scratch
• Experience with MongoDB
• Experience with Next.js
• Experience with AI/LLM APIs
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub
• Experience deploying applications
• Open-source contributions
• Personal projects or products you've built
