Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Peraton is hiring a Senior Business Systems Analyst to lead requirements analysis, process improvement, and alignment of business needs with technology solutions. The role advises stakeholders, coordinates with technical teams, mentors junior analysts, and supports digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the elicitation, documentation, and analysis of complex business, functional, and system requirements
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and cross-functional meetings to define business needs and priorities
- Conduct detailed gap, impact, and process analyses to inform solution design
- Translate requirements into user stories, process flows, wireframes, and decision models that support development and implementation
- Collaborate with product owners, project managers, developers, and QA teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, proposing enhancements, and developing process documentation
- Support organizational change management by defining communication plans, user training needs, and success metrics
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of business analysis standards and best practices
Skills
- 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
- Must be US Citizen with a Public Trust
- Proven success leading complex initiatives from discovery through delivery
- Deep understanding of business analysis frameworks, methodologies, and tools
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey technical and business concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong documentation skills, including experience writing BRDs, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
- Proficiency with collaboration and analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority
- Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to best practices
- Professional certification (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or equivalent)
- Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid Agile environments
- Familiarity with SQL or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for data analysis
- Experience supporting enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, or workflow platforms
- Exposure to change management, user adoption strategies, or organizational transformation projects
