Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Lumen Solutions Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Solutions Architect to develop scalable, reliable enterprise network solutions for large-scale IT infrastructure and construction-related projects. The role designs network architecture and documentation, provides hands-on routing and switching expertise, and collaborates with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect enterprise network infrastructure solutions across complex IT environments
- Provide hands-on technical expertise in routing and switching, including BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF
- Develop network architecture diagrams, topologies, and infrastructure designs
- Produce Bills of Materials (BOMs) for capital infrastructure projects
- Develop and review Wi-Fi and cellular coverage heatmaps for physical locations
- Provide technical design reviews at the 15%, 30%, 60%, 90%, and 100% completion stages for construction projects
- Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs) and technical documentation
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture, engineering, and infrastructure teams to ensure technical standards are met
- Participate throughout the project lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering through design and implementation
- Present proposed network solutions to internal stakeholders for technical review and approval
Skills
- Minimum 10 years of relevant network operations experience and 10 years of experience across multiple IT areas
- Strong hands-on enterprise routing and switching architecture and engineering capabilities
- Deep understanding of BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF
- Experience designing complex enterprise network solutions
- Ability to develop technical network designs and infrastructure documentation
- Bachelor's degree, specialized training, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience designing network infrastructure for multiple large-scale, heterogeneous IT programs
- Experience with enterprise switches and wireless access points (WAPs)
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and architectural modeling
- Understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), enterprise information management, and software design
- Transportation industry experience
- Strong stakeholder communication and technical presentation skills
