Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cogent Security is hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager to translate its cybersecurity product differentiation into positioning, content, launches, competitive intelligence, and sales enablement. The role supports enterprise deals and helps build the company’s early product marketing function.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine positioning for new products and capabilities within Cogent's core narrative
- Sharpen and tailor the Cogent story for specific audiences, such as partners, media, and more
- Write product pages, solution pages, datasheets, blog posts, and whitepapers that security practitioners actually read
- Drive tier 1 launches end to end: internal readiness, stakeholder alignment, release messaging, web updates, and enablement
- Bring tier 2 and 3 capabilities to market on a regular cadence to show momentum
- Run the competitive program day to day: track vendors, source product insights, documentation, and demos, and keep battlecards current and field-ready
- Ensure that sales is armed with the latest market understanding and knows how to apply it
- Turn win/loss patterns into objection handling and sales plays
- Build and maintain solution briefs, one-pagers, and demo storyline inputs
- Work with sales to understand friction points and figure out ways to solve those
- Support POCs and technical evaluations with guides, operationalization docs, and ROI/value frameworks
- Use AI to accelerate drafts, variants, and repurposing while holding the bar on accuracy and quality
Skills
- 4-7+ years in B2B product marketing with cybersecurity domain expertise
- Excellent writing. Clear, specific, and credible to security practitioners
- Strong verbal communication. You present well to sales, product, and customers
- High output and initiative. Fast, responsive, self-directed
- A high bar for your own work. Good isn't good enough
- Experience in vulnerability management, exposure management, ASM/CAASM, AppSec/CloudSec adjacencies
- Hands-on competitive intel experience: sourcing products, documentation, and demos
- Experience supporting technical evaluations/POCs and security review processes
