[Remote] Sr. Strategic Finance Consultant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Alpine Solutions Group is seeking a Strategic Finance Senior Consultant for a remote consulting engagement focused on SaaS revenue modeling, ARR forecasting, and financial process automation. The consultant will build and maintain financial models, analyze and reconcile recurring revenue metrics, automate data and reporting processes, and collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Revenue Operations, and Data teams.

Responsibilities

• Build, enhance, and maintain detailed SaaS ARR and recurring revenue forecasting models
• Develop ARR roll-forward models incorporating beginning ARR, new business, expansion, contraction, churn, and ending ARR
• Analyze subscription revenue, bookings, customer retention, net revenue retention (NRR), and usage-based revenue
• Reconcile live ARR, billed ARR, and other recurring revenue metrics to improve reporting accuracy
• Independently extract, clean, validate, and consolidate financial and operational data from multiple sources
• Build dynamic, driver-based financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making
• Utilize advanced Excel, Power Query, SQL, and Python to streamline data preparation, reporting, and financial analysis
• Identify opportunities to automate manual Finance processes and improve model scalability
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Revenue Operations, and Data teams to establish consistent reporting methodologies
• Document financial models, data definitions, assumptions, and processes to support ongoing reporting and future BI integration

Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, or a closely related Finance function
• 2+ years of recent Finance experience within a SaaS organization
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building SaaS ARR and recurring revenue models
• Strong understanding of ARR waterfalls, bookings, churn, expansion, contraction, retention, and subscription revenue metrics
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex financial modeling and Power Query
• Hands-on SQL experience extracting and analyzing financial or operational data
• Experience using Python for data cleaning, manipulation, or financial analysis
• Demonstrated ability to independently develop, troubleshoot, and automate financial models
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
• Experience with usage-based or consumption-based SaaS revenue models
• Experience with Databricks, VBA, or Power BI
• Familiarity with SaaS revenue recognition, billing, and contract data
• Experience supporting Finance transformation or reporting automation initiatives
• MBA or other advanced degree
