Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. AAFCPAs is hiring a Staff Accountant on its Tax Team to prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses. The role includes analyzing financial information and tax documents, researching tax questions, and producing accurate work while meeting deadlines and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Work side-by-side with teammates to prepare tax returns for a variety of individuals and businesses
- Analyze financial information and tax documents to identify issues, research tax questions, and connect the dots
- Build your tax knowledge through hands-on experience, ongoing training, and mentorship from experienced tax professionals
- Develop your technical skills using platforms such as Excel, CCH Axcess Tax, Engagement, and other tax software
- Prepare accurate, high-quality work while meeting deadlines and following professional and industry standards
Skills
- A Bachelor's in Accounting
- Strong communication skills (Writing and Speaking)
- Tech-savvy with tools such as Excel & Word
- A curious, motivated learner who's ready to roll up their sleeves
- Master's = bonus points
