[Remote] VC Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pairs is hiring a VC Analyst to build relationships with direct investors and connect them with suitable private-company investment opportunities. The role focuses on investor research, outreach, qualification, and arranging meetings between investors and founders.

Responsibilities

• Investor research. Who is investing right now, in what, at what stage and check size
• First conversations. Messages that read like a person wrote them, and replies turned into calls
• Investor meetings. Qualified investors booked with founders whose opportunity fits what they back
• Your growing network. Every investor you open, kept current and qualified. The network you build here is yours

Skills

• Have worked around venture capital, as an analyst, a scout, at an accelerator or in a role close to deals, and can name rounds from this year you found interesting
• Can write a short, specific message to a stranger that gets a reply
• Keep your pace high without letting quality slip, and follow a process without needing a reminder
• Understand the basics of a round: stage, check size, SAFE versus priced, and why an investor passes
• Treat discretion as second nature
• Use AI tools daily, with clear judgement about where they improve your work and where they would compromise its quality
