[Remote] Vice President Finance

The Vice President Finance oversees financial strategy and operations, including planning, reporting, controls, team leadership, and collaboration with executives on strategic initiatives and risk management.

Responsibilities

• The Vice President Finance is a full-time remote leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial strategy and operations of Novus Life Solutions
• This role manages budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning to support sustainable growth in a multi-state insurance environment
• Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, monitoring cash flow, and optimizing capital allocation
• The Vice President Finance will establish and refine financial controls, develop performance metrics, and collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and risk management
• The role also includes leading finance team members, implementing best practices in compliance and audit readiness, and providing clear, data-driven insights to guide decision making

Skills

• Strong Finance expertise, including strategic financial management and understanding of insurance or financial services environments
• Financial Planning skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term scenario modeling
• Financial Statements skills, including preparation, review, and interpretation of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Financial Reporting skills, including experience with regulatory reporting, management reporting, and KPIs for executive leadership
• Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret complex data, assess financial risks, and present clear recommendations
• Experience in insurance or financial services
• Familiarity with multi-state regulatory requirements
• Prior leadership of finance teams
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment, with excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams
• An MBA, CPA, or CFA is preferred
