Responsibilities

• The Vice President Marketing at Bachem Co. is a full-time, remote role responsible for setting and executing the company’s marketing vision and strategy
• This position oversees all marketing functions, including brand positioning, market planning, market research, and integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels
• The role includes leading and mentoring the marketing team, managing budgets, aligning marketing initiatives with business objectives, and partnering with sales, product, and scientific teams to drive growth
• The Vice President Marketing will monitor market trends and competitive activity, refine value propositions, and ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across all touchpoints
• Daily activities involve reviewing performance metrics, optimizing campaigns, collaborating with senior leadership on strategic priorities, and guiding public relations efforts to enhance Bachem Co.’s visibility and reputation in the chemical and scientific markets

Skills

• Strong skills in Marketing and Marketing Management, with experience leading comprehensive marketing programs
• Expertise in Market Planning and Market Research to develop data-driven strategies and identify growth opportunities
• Capabilities in Public Relations to manage external communications, media relations, and brand reputation
• Proven leadership experience in senior marketing roles
• Demonstrated success in remote team management, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder leadership at the executive level
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills, with proficiency in marketing analytics and performance measurement tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear market messaging
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
• Within chemicals, life sciences, or related scientific industries
• An advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is beneficial
