Remote Position

Sales Business Development Manager

🌍 Remote · United States 💼 Full-time

Company Description

Homura is a curatorial house of collectible, handwoven rugs that brings weaving heritage into contemporary interiors through a carefully considered, editorial approach. Founded by Jess Weistroffer, the house draws on deep Iranian and Moroccan textile traditions, treating rugs as carriers of memory, art, and culture. Homura focuses on curation rather than production, highlighting singular pieces where artisans’ stories and heritage remain central. The company collaborates with private collectors, architects, interior designers, hoteliers, brands, and galleries through personalised sourcing, trade partnerships, and creative collaborations. Its collection is showcased online at homura.com.co, supported by an augmented reality tool that helps clients visualise each rug in their own space. Role Description The Sales Business Development Manager is a remote role focused on expanding Homura’s client base and partnerships in the design, hospitality, and luxury retail sectors. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and qualifying new leads, maintaining a pipeline of prospects, and conducting outreach to collectors, architects, interior designers, hoteliers, and galleries. They will support the development of sales strategies, prepare proposals and presentations, and assist in managing relationships with current and potential trade partners. Additional tasks may involve market research, participation in virtual client meetings, and collaborating with the founder on special projects and collaborations aligned with Homura’s curatorial vision.

Comfort working in a remote environment, with strong time management, self-organization, and accountability.
