Sales Development Representative | Remote US - No Travel
Pioneer Power Group, a leading electrical engineering firm specializing in power system studies, is seeking a driven and goal-oriented Sales Development Representative to help grow our customer base and build our sales pipeline within the electrical engineering and construction industries. We provide solutions to customers within the electrical industry to build or renovate facilities across the nation. We are a trusted source for clients for their power system study projects โ short-circuit, coordination, arc flash studies, etc. We are a fast-moving business. We grew 62% last year and want to double in size again in two years. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-outreach sales environment and is motivated by growth, both personally and professionally. Key things to note: If you prove yourself, you'll have opportunities to take on greater responsibility and grow into a territory-owning sales role. You will be responsible for starting conversations, qualifying opportunities, and handing them off to our closing sales team. Work remotely from anywhere within the United States. No travel required. Join a small team of approximately 45 people where individual contributions matter and team members have visibility, ownership, and opportunities to make a difference. Responsibilities: The role focuses on one primary goal: generating qualified sales opportunities through proactive outbound prospecting. This role does not carry a closed-revenue quota; success is measured by the volume and quality of sales-qualified leads delivered to our closing sales team, allowing our account executives to spend their time on evaluation, proposals, and closing. Conduct cold calling, email, and other outbound outreach across two target segments: electrical engineering design firms that spec, design, or recommend short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash hazard studies for their clients, and end users/facility owners (plants, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and similar industrial or commercial sites) who are potential direct buyers of these studies. Research and build targeted prospects and account lists by industry, facility type, company size, and geography. Qualify leads against defined criteria before handoff, including a confirmed need or upcoming requirement for short-circuit, coordination, or arc flash studies, an identified decision-maker or clear path to one (facility/plant engineer, EHS manager, design firm principal, etc.), a realistic timeline, and a fit with our target customer profile. Schedule discovery calls and meetings for our closing sales representatives. Nurture early-stage leads that are not yet sales-ready until they are prepared for handoff. Log all outreach activity, contact attempts, and lead status in the company CRM system (Salesforce) and keep account information current. Collaborate with sales leadership and marketing on messaging, target lists, and campaign follow-up. Qualifications: Comfort with high-volume outbound calls and emails, persistence through rejection, and confidence starting conversations. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain services clearly and learn technical concepts quickly. Experience with cold calling, prospecting, or lead generation is a plus, but not required. Highly organized, with disciplined CRM habits and excellent follow-up and follow-through in a fast-paced environment A self-motivated, coachable approach with curiosity, accountability, and a desire to grow. Familiarity with Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Microsoft Office Suite are a plus. Experience in electrical engineering, construction, or industrial industries is a plus, but not required. Industry-specific training will be provided. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join a growing team, do meaningful work across the country, and build a long-term career with a company that values initiative and rewards results.
