Role Description The SAP Cutover Plan Lead is a contract, remote role responsible for planning and overseeing all cutover activities related to SAP implementations and deployments. Day-to-day tasks include creating and maintaining detailed cutover plans, coordinating master data loads, validating business processes, and managing dependencies across technical and functional teams. The role involves working with stakeholders to align cutover timelines, identifying risks, defining mitigation strategies, and ensuring readiness of environments, data, and users for go-live. The SAP Cutover Plan Lead will also support issue resolution during mock cutovers and go-live, provide clear communication and status reporting, and document lessons learned for future releases.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of Business Process design and optimization, with the ability to translate process requirements into effective cutover activities. Demonstrated Analytical Skills to assess data readiness, identify risks, and interpret cutover metrics and test results. Experience in Consulting or stakeholder-facing roles, including facilitating workshops, managing expectations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Hands-on experience with SAP FICO and related SAP modules, including integration points relevant to cutover and financial data migration. Master Data expertise in planning, cleansing, validating, and migrating core data objects during SAP cutover cycles. Proven experience leading SAP cutover or large-scale ERP implementation projects, preferably in complex, multi-site environments. Strong project management, coordination, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team setting. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; relevant SAP certifications are a plus.
