Job Description: SAP IS-U EAM / PPM ConsultantLocation: Houston, TX (Remote) Client: Cognizant / Liberty Mutual Duration: Contract Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U EAM / PPM Consultant to support SAP implementation, configuration, integration, and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP Industry Solution for Utilities (IS-U), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), and Portfolio and Project Management (PPM), along with experience in business process analysis, system integration, and stakeholder collaboration. The consultant will work closely with business users, functional teams, and technical teams to understand requirements, improve business processes, and deliver effective SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP functional solutions. Configure and support SAP IS-U modules and related utility business processes. Provide functional expertise in SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), including asset lifecycle management, maintenance planning, work orders, and equipment management. Support SAP Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) processes, including project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and project tracking. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between SAP IS-U, EAM, PPM, and other SAP modules. Conduct requirement-gathering sessions, fit-gap analysis, and functional design activities. Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with technical teams for enhancements and custom developments. Support system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect resolution. Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support. Develop and maintain functional documentation, configuration guides, and user training materials. Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify process improvements and ensure successful solution delivery. Required Skills and QualificationsHands-on experience with SAP IS-U and utility-related business processes. Strong functional knowledge of SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM). Experience with SAP Portfolio and Project Management (PPM). Understanding of SAP integration with related modules and enterprise applications. Experience in requirements gathering, functional configuration, testing, and production support. Ability to prepare functional specifications and work with technical development teams. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. Experience working with distributed teams in a remote consulting environment. Preferred QualificationsExperience in SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, or migration projects. Knowledge of SAP PM (Plant Maintenance), asset lifecycle management, and maintenance processes. Experience with SAP project and portfolio management tools and reporting. Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and relevant integration technologies. Experience in the utilities or other asset-intensive industries.
