Why This Role Is More Than Just Customer Service

As a Seasonal Remote Customer Service Representative, you will be the friendly voice that guides many of our members—often over the age of 65—through critical insurance choices. This is not a typical call‑center job; it is an opportunity to make a tangible difference in people’s lives by providing clear, compassionate, and accurate information. Your role will involve handling inbound and outbound calls, confirming application details, and ensuring every member leaves the conversation confident and informed. If you thrive on empathy, precision, and the satisfaction of helping others, this position is a perfect fit.

  • Follow required scripts and compliance guidelines while maintaining a conversational tone.
  • Safeguard sensitive Personal Health Information (PHI) at all times in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.
  • Take ownership of each interaction, ensuring members fully understand next steps and feel supported.
  • Utilize multiple computer systems and tools efficiently to manage call data and member records.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current on product updates, compliance changes, and best practices.

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes and technologies.
  • Integrity and respect for confidentiality, especially regarding PHI.
  • Empathy, patience, and professionalism throughout long or consecutive calls.
  • Basic math skills for quick calculations and data entry.
  • Reliable high‑speed internet connection and a quiet, private workspace.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency (English and another language) is highly encouraged.
  • Experience working with Medicare or other health‑insurance products.
  • Previous remote work experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance metrics.

  • Shifts available between 8:00 am – 11:00 pm ET; most likely shift: 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm EST.
  • Weekend availability required (at least one weekend day per month).
  • 100% remote position—requires a private, quiet workspace and a hard‑wired high‑speed internet connection.
