The Opportunity Our client is seeking an Senior Operational Accountant to join their growing finance team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this individual will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting month-end close activities across multiple entities. This is a hands-on role ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys working closely with leadership to help build scalable accounting processes. Experience supporting manufacturing environments and cost accounting initiatives is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Process daily accounting transactions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, journal entries, and General Ledger activity. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Maintain accurate financial records across multiple business entities. Prepare account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and accrual-based accounting principles. Support intercompany accounting activities and reconciliations. Assist with inventory and cost accounting processes within a manufacturing environment. Support internal and external audit activities. Partner with leadership to improve accounting workflows and financial controls. Assist with financial reporting, analysis, and special projects. Help develop scalable accounting processes to support continued organizational growth.
Qualifications
Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Active CPA designation. 2+ years of hands-on NetSuite experience. 2-4+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and month-end close procedures. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Preferred Experience supporting multi-entity organizations. Exposure to intercompany accounting transactions. Manufacturing industry experience. Cost accounting and inventory accounting experience. Experience supporting organizations with government contracts or regulated environments.
