Senior Accountant, Revenue & Digital Assets

๐ŸŒ Remote ยท United States ๐Ÿ’ผ Full-time

Elektron is a Bitcoin mining company backed by Tether. We operate at the intersection of energy, infrastructure, and the Bitcoin network. Our team is remote, lean, and focused. About the role This is a senior preparer role on the revenue and digital asset side of Elektron's accounting. The accounting function is moving to a monthly close across 20-plus entities at an audit-ready standard, and this role carries the more complex close and digital asset preparation within it. The work is split by entity and activity area alongside a Staff Accountant, with detail review from the Accounting Manager. The accounting team is small, remote, and collaborative, with issues raised early and usually brought forward with a proposed answer. What you'll own Own end-to-end month-end close for a defined set of entities on the monthly reporting calendar. Prepare and post journal entries in NetSuite with correct entity, class, and department coding. Prepare balance sheet reconciliation workpapers in FloQast to an audit-ready standard, covering cash and cash equivalents, current assets, other assets, current and long-term liabilities, and equity. Prepare digital asset accounting for assigned entities, including subledger entries, pricing, realized and unrealized gain-loss, and the BTC rollforward. Reconcile digital asset activity to wallet and custody records. Track hosting activity and host contractual terms, and reflect hosting results correctly in the close. Prepare supporting schedules and turn around auditor and advisor request list items on agreed timelines. What you'll bring Ownership of a full-cycle month-end close, not a segment of one. Multi-entity close experience, including entity-level coding and intercompany work. Balance sheet reconciliation work that has held up under external audit. NetSuite or a comparable ERP used at multi-entity scale, plus FloQast or similar close management software. A high personal standard for the work, and interest in how the close sharpens as the business evolves. Preferred: digital asset accounting experience covering subledger, pricing, and gain-loss treatment. Preferred: public accounting background or CPA. Genuine interest in Bitcoin matters more than crypto on a resume. What success looks like Assigned entities close on schedule every month, with balance sheet reconciliations in FloQast that hold up to an audit-ready standard. Digital asset subledger entries, pricing, and gain-loss treatment are accurate and reconcile cleanly to wallet and custody records. Auditor and advisor request list items are turned around on agreed timelines, without rework. Issues are raised early and typically arrive with a proposed answer, not just a problem.
