About brighthush

brighthush is redefining how the world predicts the future. By harnessing the collective insight of a global community, we transform raw human intuition into transparent, real‑time probabilities that illuminate politics, economics, sports, culture, and more. In 2025 alone, our platform processed over $21 B in trades, and our community continues to expand as we bring clarity to the most pressing questions of our time.

Our mission is simple yet ambitious: to deliver the most accurate, real‑time insights into what matters most to people worldwide. We achieve this through a blend of cutting‑edge technology, a passionate community, and a data‑driven culture that values transparency, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Why the Customer Experience (CX) Team Matters

The CX team at brighthush is a tight‑knit, high‑ownership group that directly shapes the experience of users who move real money on the world’s largest prediction market. Every day, the team tackles complex challenges across withdrawals, KYC, market resolution, and more. The data infrastructure that supports these operations is still evolving, and that’s where you come in.

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will own the data foundation for CX. You’ll design, build, and maintain the models, pipelines, and semantic layer that transform raw support data into actionable insights. Your decisions will shape how the CX team operates for years to come, influencing everything from daily operations to strategic product decisions.

Role Overview

In this role, you will be the bridge between raw operational data and the people who use it to make critical decisions. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and customer support leaders to ensure that every metric, dashboard, and dataset is accurate, reliable, and aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain dbt data models for support data, covering ticketing, KYC, withdrawals, and market resolution workflows.
  • Integrate data from diverse sources including Decagon, BPO partners, CRM systems, and WFM tools into the cloud warehouse.
  • Build data quality tests, monitoring, and documentation so the team can trust what they’re looking at.
  • Define shared metrics and dimensions in the semantic layer so CX, ops, and leadership all calculate things the same way.
  • Develop dashboards and self‑serve datasets that let CX teammates answer operational questions without waiting on a data request.
  • Identify recurring failure patterns in support data and translate them into documented findings for the CX playbook and internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with the central data engineering team on shared pipelines, infrastructure decisions, and data governance.
  • Champion data quality and governance by establishing best practices, audit trails, and continuous improvement loops.
  • Mentor junior analysts and engineers to build a high‑performing, collaborative data team.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a closely related data role.
  • Expertise in SQL and hands‑on dbt experience, including modeling, testing, and documentation.
  • Proficiency with a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
  • Experience with data ingestion tools such as Fivetran or Airbyte, and working knowledge of Python.
  • Strong data modeling fundamentals and a track record of building systems that non‑technical teams actually use.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex, multi‑variable issues and communicate findings clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Track record of building or improving documentation, whether data documentation, support playbooks, or process guides.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a fast‑moving startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with customer support, CRM, or trust and safety data.
  • Experience influencing product or policy decisions using data from CX or operations.
  • Familiarity with on‑chain data or crypto transaction flows.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and compliance requirements.

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced SQL and data modeling.
  • Proficiency in dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
  • Experience with Fivetran, Airbyte, or similar ingestion tools.
  • Python programming for data manipulation and automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of end‑to‑end data solutions.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a fast‑moving startup environment.
  • Leadership mindset and a passion for mentoring.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities

At brighthush, learning is a continuous journey. As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you’ll:

  • Participate in hackathons, internal workshops, and industry conferences to stay at the forefront of data engineering trends.
  • Advance to roles such as Lead Analytics Engineer, Data Engineering Manager, or Director of Data Science.
  • Own the end‑to‑end data lifecycle, from ingestion to insight, and see the direct impact on user experience and business outcomes.

  • Equity that aligns your success with the company’s growth.
  • Unlimited paid time off (PTO) to support work‑life balance.
  • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage.
  • 401(k) plan with company match.
