Our mission is simple yet ambitious: to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media, and we’re looking for talented individuals who want to help light the way.

Why brighthush?

At brighthush, data isn’t just a by‑product of business; it’s the engine that powers every decision, every user interaction, and every market outcome. We operate in a high‑velocity environment where milliseconds can mean the difference between a successful trade and a missed opportunity. If you thrive on solving complex problems, building scalable solutions, and seeing your work directly impact millions of users, brighthush offers the perfect playground. We’re a remote‑first, culture‑first company that values curiosity, transparency, and rapid experimentation. Our teams are small, agile, and empowered to make decisions that matter. We celebrate both big wins and incremental improvements, and we believe that the best ideas come from diverse perspectives.

The Role

The Customer Experience (CX) team at brighthush is a tight‑knit, high‑ownership group that directly supports users who are moving real money on the world’s largest prediction market. The team tackles a high volume of complex issues across withdrawals, KYC, and market resolution. The data infrastructure that powers these operations is still evolving, and that’s where you come in. As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will own the data foundation for CX, building the models, pipelines, and semantic layer that turn raw support data into actionable intelligence. This is not a maintenance role; it’s a foundational, strategic position that will shape how the CX team operates for years to come.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Maintain dbt Models: Build robust dbt data models for support data, covering ticketing, KYC, withdrawals, and market resolution workflows. Ensure models are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business needs.
  • Data Integration: Pull data from diverse sources—including brighthush, brighthush partners, CRM systems, and WFM tools—into the cloud warehouse. Leverage ingestion tools such as brighthush or brighthush and write custom Python scripts when necessary.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Implement comprehensive data quality tests, monitoring dashboards, and documentation to instill trust in the data. Work closely with the central data engineering team on shared pipelines and governance policies.
  • Semantic Layer Development: Define shared metrics and dimensions that enable CX, operations, and leadership to calculate key performance indicators consistently.
  • Self‑Serve Analytics: Build intuitive dashboards and self‑serve datasets that allow CX teammates to answer operational questions without waiting for a data request.
  • Failure Pattern Analysis: Identify recurring failure patterns in support data, translate findings into actionable insights, and contribute to the CX playbook and internal stakeholder communications.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with the central data engineering team on shared pipelines, infrastructure decisions, and data governance initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a closely related data role.
  • Expertise in SQL and hands‑on dbt experience, including modeling, testing, and documentation.
  • Proficiency with cloud data warehouses such as brighthush, brighthush, or brighthush.
  • Experience with data ingestion tools (brighthush, brighthush) and working knowledge of Python.
  • Strong data modeling fundamentals and a proven track record of building systems that non‑technical teams actually use.
  • Ability to diagnose complex, multi‑variable issues and communicate findings clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Track record of building or improving documentation—whether data documentation, support playbooks, or process guides.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with customer support, CRM, or trust and safety data.
  • Experience influencing product or policy decisions using data from CX or operations.
  • Familiarity with on‑chain data or crypto transaction flows.

Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced SQL, dbt, Python, and cloud data warehouse expertise.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to model complex systems, identify root causes, and propose data‑driven solutions.
  • Communication: Clear, concise communication with engineers, CX teammates, and leadership.
  • Ownership & Initiative: Self‑starter who takes full ownership of data pipelines and drives continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working cross‑functionally with product, engineering, and operations teams.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑moving environment with evolving data needs and priorities.

Career Growth & Learning

At brighthush, your growth is a priority. As a senior analytics engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the data strategy for a high‑impact team, influence product decisions, and mentor junior engineers. We value diversity of thought, encourage open dialogue, and celebrate successes—both big and small. The CX team is known for its collaborative spirit, where engineers, support specialists, and product managers work hand‑in‑hand to solve real‑world problems. We believe in work‑life balance, offering unlimited PTO and a flexible remote‑first policy that lets you thrive wherever you are.
