The Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Customer AI Engineer to lead the Token Factory team. In this role, you will be the linchpin that turns promising proof‑of‑concepts into production‑ready AI workloads on the brighthush platform. You will operate at the intersection of engineering, delivery, and customer success, ensuring that the solutions promised during pre‑sales actually perform reliably and cost‑efficiently in production.
As a key technical partner, you will collaborate closely with customer engineering teams, solution architects, and product/infrastructure squads to drive stable, high‑performance deployments that scale with our customers’ growth.
What This Role Is NOT
- Pure sales – you’ll support expansion through demonstrable value, not just closing deals.
- Reactive support – you’ll proactively shape deployments, not merely respond to tickets.
- Solution architecture – you’ll focus on operational excellence, not designing systems from scratch.
Remote work is fully supported for candidates based in the United States.
Your Key Responsibilities
Own the Production Journey
- Lead the transition from proof‑of‑concept to production, ensuring seamless handover and operational readiness.
- Guarantee that customer workloads are deployed, stable, and scalable across all supported environments.
- Drive time‑to‑production and time‑to‑value, turning early wins into long‑term customer success.
- Document best‑practice deployment playbooks that can be reused across teams and customers.
- Coordinate with the Platform Reliability team to align on SLAs, monitoring, and incident response procedures.
Ensure Technical Success in Production
- Deeply understand each customer’s architecture, use cases, and performance goals.
- Continuously monitor and improve performance (latency, throughput), cost efficiency, and reliability of AI workloads.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks proactively, using data‑driven insights and root‑cause analysis.
- Implement automated health checks and alerting that surface issues before they impact end users.
- Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to optimize data pipelines that feed AI models.
Act as a Trusted Technical Partner
- Collaborate directly with customer engineering teams, providing hands‑on guidance on best practices and optimization.
- Translate complex technical challenges into actionable, executable solutions that align with customer objectives.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for production incidents, coordinating cross‑functional responses.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to empower customer teams to manage and scale their workloads independently.
- Advocate for customer needs in internal product roadmaps, ensuring that future platform enhancements address real‑world challenges.
Drive Continuous Improvement
- Spot opportunities to optimize resource usage, reduce costs, and expand usage across customer portfolios.
- Provide structured, data‑rich feedback to product and infrastructure teams, influencing roadmap decisions.
- Help shape next‑generation solutions that reflect real customer needs and industry trends.
- Champion a culture of experimentation, encouraging teams to test new inference frameworks, scheduling algorithms, and cost‑saving techniques.
- Lead post‑mortem reviews that capture lessons learned and translate them into actionable process improvements.
Essential Qualifications
- Hands‑on experience with inference frameworks such as vLLM, TensorRT, or equivalent.
- Strong grasp of cloud and infrastructure systems, distributed computing, and high‑load application design.
- Deep familiarity with AI/ML workloads—especially large language models, vision inference, and recommendation engines.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and optimize system performance at scale.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Track record of owning end‑to‑end delivery, from design through production and post‑deployment support.
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
- Strong analytical mindset, comfortable working with metrics, dashboards, and data‑driven decision making.
Preferred Experience
- Hands‑on GPU workload management or AI infrastructure operations.
- Background in solutions engineering, site reliability engineering, or technical support in B2B environments.
- Experience working with large‑scale, multi‑tenant AI platforms.
- Knowledge of performance profiling tools (e.g., NVIDIA Nsight, PyTorch Profiler) and cost‑optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with compliance and security best practices for AI workloads.
