We are looking for a visionary Senior Customer Analytics Director who can translate complex data into actionable insights, empower cross‑functional teams, and shape the future of customer success and revenue growth.
Why This Role Matters
In a world where customer experience is the ultimate differentiator, the ability to measure, predict, and influence customer behavior is paramount. The Senior Customer Analytics Director will become a strategic partner to our executive leadership, shaping the narrative around revenue performance, retention, and growth. By building robust analytics frameworks, you will help brighthush maintain its competitive edge, optimize revenue streams, and ensure that every decision is backed by data.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Revenue Metrics & Standards – Partner with Finance to define and maintain the official ARR, Gross Revenue Retention (GRR), Net Revenue Retention (NRR), and other key performance indicators. Translate these metrics into operational dashboards for Customer Success, Sales, and Renewals, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Executive & Board Reporting – Own the end‑to‑end data preparation for CCO presentations, board packs, quarterly business reviews, and investor updates. Craft compelling narratives that link revenue outcomes to strategic initiatives and operational realities.
- Renewal & Retention Variance Analysis – Lead the analysis of renewal rates, forecasting accuracy, and churn drivers. Provide root‑cause breakdowns and actionable recommendations to improve renewal performance.
- Planning & Capacity Modeling – Collaborate with Finance to build annual renewal and retention models, set baselines, and forecast segment‑level performance. Develop headcount and coverage models that align with the book‑of‑business segmentation.
- Customer Health & Early Warning Systems – Design and refine customer health scoring models, risk telemetry, and predictive churn analyses. Create early warning alerts that enable proactive engagement with at‑risk accounts.
- Analytics Requirements & Data Governance – Define reporting requirements across Salesforce, the enterprise data warehouse, and BI platforms. Work with Systems & Operations and Data & Analytics to ensure data models adhere to Finance’s standardized definitions while delivering custom analyses for the CCO.
- Cross‑Functional Strategy Alignment – Partner with Revenue Operations, CRO leadership, and Product Strategy to unify data models, improve NRR, and deliver granular churn and revenue forecasts by product line and usage behavior.
Essential Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in customer analytics, revenue analytics, FP&A, or Customer Success/Revenue Operations within a B2B SaaS environment.
- Deep expertise in SaaS recurring revenue models, including ARR, GRR, NRR, cohort analysis, contraction, and churn dynamics.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.) and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Proven track record of translating business requirements into technical data specifications and building executive‑ready dashboards.
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex quantitative data into clear, persuasive visual narratives and strategic recommendations.
- Strong cross‑functional influence and communication skills, capable of driving alignment across Finance, Sales, RevOps, and Product leadership.
- Demonstrated success as a high‑output individual contributor, managing complex data projects from concept to execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating within a private‑equity‑backed enterprise (e.g., brighthush or similar portfolio environment) and supporting board‑level reporting.
- Familiarity with Thoma Bravo‑style operating reviews and investor communication.
- Experience building predictive models for churn, upsell, and cross‑sell opportunities.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data quality best practices.
- Prior experience leading a team of analysts or data scientists.
Skills & Competencies
- Strategic thinking and analytical rigor.
- Data storytelling and executive communication.
- Project management and stakeholder engagement.

- Business acumen in SaaS revenue recognition and financial modeling.
- Adaptability in a fast‑paced, remote environment.
