The Senior Customer Success Architect for Japan sits at the intersection of technology, strategy, and customer advocacy. This role is pivotal in translating complex business challenges into actionable, measurable success plans that drive adoption, retention, and expansion of the brighthush platform across the most critical accounts.

Role Overview

In this individual‑contributor capacity, you will serve as the trusted strategic advisor and technical authority for brighthush’s most complex and high‑value Enterprise and Government customers. Your responsibilities will span the entire customer lifecycle—from pre‑sales engagement to post‑implementation support—ensuring that each account realizes tangible business value and achieves a high level of satisfaction.

You will operate with autonomy, advising C‑level stakeholders on business transformation, shaping best‑practice playbooks, and influencing renewal and expansion decisions at the executive level. Your deep technical expertise, combined with a customer‑centric mindset, will enable you to guide organizations through the most challenging DevSecOps transformations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Success Planning – Translate ambiguous business outcomes into rigorous Customer Success Plans (CSPs) that include clear goals, quantifiable benefits, realistic adoption milestones, and remediation actions.
  • Executive Reporting – Prepare executive‑ready reporting on adoption, retention, and expansion, demonstrating tangible impact on business outcomes.
  • Technical Guidance – Provide deep technical guidance on enterprise‑scale CI/CD architecture, DevSecOps maturity models, and platform consolidation strategy, advising on trade‑offs such as multi‑cloud vs. hybrid, self‑managed vs. dedicated deployments.
  • Lifecycle Management – Own the full lifecycle of account adoption, retention, and expansion, with direct accountability for commercial and technical health.
  • Escalation Leadership – Lead end‑to‑end resolution of critical cross‑functional escalations, ensuring root cause analysis, follow‑up actions, and executive communication.
  • Enablement & Training – Design and deliver technical enablement programs at scale, identifying systemic maturity gaps and building roadmaps to close them.
  • Architecture Advisory – Advise on cloud and platform architecture decisions with enterprise‑wide impact, including multi‑region deployment, secrets management, and network/security topology for regulated environments.
  • Best‑Practice Champion – Guide customers on brighthush platform best practices: Git workflows, branching strategies, CI/CD pipeline design, DevSecOps adoption patterns, and security scanning configuration.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Collaborate with Professional Services, Sales, and internal teams to identify expansion opportunities and ensure a seamless customer journey from onboarding through renewal.
  • Continuous Improvement – Champion a culture of continuous improvement by conducting retrospectives, post‑mortems, and knowledge‑sharing sessions that elevate the entire customer success organization.
