Introduction: Join brighthush and Transform Data into Impact

In today’s hyper‑connected marketplace, data is the lifeblood of every decision, strategy, and innovation. At brighthush, we are on a mission to turn raw, fragmented information into clean, actionable insights that empower businesses to grow faster and smarter. Whether you’re a seasoned data professional or a meticulous detail‑oriented newcomer, you’ll find a dynamic, fully remote environment where your work directly fuels growth and innovation.

We’re looking for a dedicated Senior Data Entry Specialist to become the backbone of our order processing and data integrity initiatives—ensuring every customer order, shipping detail, and internal record is captured flawlessly. If you thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑accuracy setting and enjoy turning raw information into organized, reliable datasets, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order Capture & Verification: Read customer and shipping orders submitted in person, via print catalogs, and online portals. Accurately key data into designated Microsoft Excel fields, ensuring each entry aligns with our standardized templates.
  • Data Integration: Import pre‑processed online order data into our system, filling in any missing fields and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Source Document Processing: Extract information from a variety of source documents—PDFs, scanned images, handwritten notes, and email attachments—and translate them into structured Excel sheets.
  • Accuracy Auditing: Perform meticulous checks to confirm data validity, consistency, and completeness before final entry.
  • Error Reporting: Identify anomalies, flag potential errors, and communicate findings to supervisors or relevant stakeholders for resolution.
  • Log Management: Maintain up‑to‑date logs of ongoing work, track progress, and document any issues or delays.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest workflow enhancements, automation opportunities, and best practices to streamline data entry and reduce manual effort.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations, Customer Service, and IT teams to ensure seamless data flow across departments.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key metrics such as accuracy rates, turnaround time, and volume handled, and use insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Compliance & Security: Adhere to data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and internal security protocols when handling sensitive customer information.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher in Business, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional data entry experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and conditional formatting).
  • Strong typing speed (≥ 60 words per minute) with exceptional accuracy (≥ 99%).
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Familiarity with data management best practices, including data cleansing, deduplication, and standardization.
  • Basic understanding of e‑commerce order systems or ERP platforms is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—to effectively report issues and collaborate with team members.
  • Self‑motivated, disciplined, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data entry automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath, or similar RPA solutions).
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and data security best practices.
  • Background in logistics, supply chain, or retail operations.
  • Familiarity with cloud‑based document management systems (SharePoint, Google Workspace).
  • Previous experience in a customer‑facing role, providing an added layer of empathy and service orientation.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills, data validation, and basic scripting.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to spot patterns, inconsistencies, and potential data quality issues.
  • Time Management: Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain productivity in a remote setting.
  • Communication: Clear, concise reporting of findings and proactive engagement with stakeholders.
