Role Description The Senior Director, Enterprise Architecture at Trade Republic is a full-time, remote role responsible for defining and overseeing the enterprise-wide technology architecture. This position leads the design of scalable application and data architectures, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting architectural standards, guiding IT strategy, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and mentoring architecture teams across multiple domains. The role also involves evaluating new technologies, optimizing systems for performance and security, and driving architectural governance to support long-term growth. The Senior Director will work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure that Trade Republic’s technology landscape remains cohesive, resilient, and adaptable.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Enterprise Architecture and IT Strategy, with the ability to align technology initiatives to business goals. Strong background in Application Architecture, including designing scalable, secure, and resilient systems. Proficiency in Data Modeling and related Information Technology practices to support analytics, reporting, and data governance. Experience leading architecture teams, setting standards, and implementing architectural governance in complex environments. Solid understanding of cloud platforms, microservices, APIs, and modern integration patterns. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical audiences. Proven track record in a senior technology leadership role, preferably within fintech or highly regulated industries. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
