Senior Director, Product Management — Fair Lending
About RiskExec RiskExec provides compliance analytics and regulatory reporting software for financial institutions. Our clients rely on us to analyze high-stakes regulatory risk, produce defensible analyses, and turn complex data into decisions they can trust and act on. Working at RiskExec RiskExec is building a world-class compliance and business intelligence platform trusted by banks, credit unions, fintech companies, and other regulated lenders. We help customers navigate complex regulatory requirements while making better business decisions. Our operating model is built around speed, rigor, accountability, and customer outcomes. We value people who take ownership, work directly with their colleagues, communicate clearly, and remain accountable for results. As an entrepreneurial organization undergoing significant product and AI transformation, our work does not always conform to a traditional 9-to-5 schedule. This role requires sound judgment, responsiveness, and a willingness to engage when critical customer or business needs arise. Role Overview This role exists because Fair Lending and adjacent analyses such as Fair Servicing and Redlining are becoming more strategic, more visible, and more demanding for our clients. Financial institutions need faster insight, clearer workflows, stronger defensibility, and more automation. Meeting that demand requires a practitioner: someone who has done this work, who can sit across from a compliance officer as a peer, and who can convert that expertise into both working software and direct client value. Applied Fair Lending expertise is a non-negotiable requirement. You must have personally conducted fair lending, fair servicing, or redlining analysis, not supervised it or advised on it from a distance. We will teach the product craft. We will not teach the domain. Candidates with product management experience and no practical fair lending background will not advance. The Senior Director, Fair Lending Solutions owns the direction and business outcomes for the Fair Lending, Fair Servicing, and Redlining modules. The mandate spans two connected fronts: driving the product roadmap that serves hundreds of institutions, and delivering the applied expertise and advisory engagement that make RiskExec more than a software vendor. Client engagements generate the insight, the product encodes it, and the measure of good advisory work is that the next client needs less of it. Location We are considering candidates based in the United States who can work remotely. Candidates located in the Eastern or Central time zones are preferred. What You Will Own You will own the end-to-end results of the assigned product modules. Product strategy and roadmap: Define the direction, priorities, sequencing, tradeoffs, and de-scoping decisions for Fair Lending, Fair Servicing, Redlining, and related analyses within the compliance analytics suite. Customer outcomes and adoption: Drive measurable improvements in product usage, workflow completion, time to insight, renewal health, and customer value realization. Commercial leverage: Provide the product strategy, evidence, and inputs Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing need to support packaging, positioning, competitive differentiation, account expansion, webinars, thought leadership, and customer-facing proof points. Voice-of-customer operating system: Build a structured intake process across Sales, Customer Success, Support, Implementation, and direct customer conversations. Synthesize those signals into product decisions and close the loop with internal teams and customers. Competitive position: Maintain a clear view of market alternatives, emerging threats, feature-parity decisions, and opportunities to strengthen RiskExec’s differentiation. Quality and trust: Ensure product behavior is compliance-grade, analytical outputs are defensible, and releases are reliable, understandable, and ready for customers operating in regulated environments. Enablement for scale: Create repeatable onboarding, training, workflow, and self-service assets that reduce dependence on services and improve consistency across the customer base. Scope Boundary You are accountable for product direction, prioritization, value delivery, and market success. Engineering owns how the product is built. Your mandate is to drive outcomes, force clarity, and hold the organization to its commitments. How You Will Drive Impact This is a high-output operator role with a clear cadence: weekly product execution review with Engineering, bi-weekly client discovery and applied advisory work, monthly suite business review, quarterly strategy refresh against regulatory and competitive movement. You will have decision authority over priority order, MVP definitions, roadmap tradeoffs, and what we stop doing, with executive input where investment or material client commitments require alignment. You will be the escalation owner when client urgency, technical constraints, regulatory sensitivity, and commercial pressure collide. Surface tradeoffs early, make the case clearly, and drive decisions rather than letting ambiguity slow execution. You will be measured on roadmap throughput and predictability, adoption of what ships, renewal health and churn-risk reduction, expansion contribution, reduction in services-heavy implementation patterns, the quality and defensibility of client-facing analysis, and the strength of RiskExec's fair lending market position. Cross-Functional & Executive Interfaces You will work directly with the CEO and executive team on suite strategy and investment, the Chief Product and Technology Officer on portfolio alignment, Engineering leadership on delivery commitments and technical tradeoffs, Sales on deal-critical roadmap questions and competitive positioning, Client Success and Support on adoption friction and renewal risk, Marketing on messaging accuracy and market education, and regulatory and subject-matter stakeholders on interpretation and defensibility. Expect tension across client urgency, regulatory nuance, engineering capacity, and long-term product coherence. Your job is not to absorb that tension quietly. Make it visible, structure it, and drive the organization to a decision.
Qualifications
Required Direct, hands-on Fair Lending experience: you have personally conducted fair lending, fair servicing, or redlining analysis, supported regulatory examinations, or advised institutions on these risks. Coursework, certification, and theoretical familiarity do not meet this bar. Current practitioner capability. Your hands-on experience is live, not something you moved away from. You can pick up a portfolio and do the analysis today. 10+ years in fair lending compliance, regulatory analytics, advisory services, or adjacent operating roles, with clear ownership of outcomes. Experience across more than one type of environment. Careers in this field are built from a mix: a regulator, a financial institution, an advisory firm, a technology provider. We are looking for someone who has seen the work from more than one side. A single-setting career, however deep, tends to produce one way of doing things. Working quantitative capability. You are comfortable with regression-based testing, statistical significance, distributions, correlation, and the judgment calls that come with them. You can interrogate a model's assumptions and explain the result to a compliance officer and to an examiner. Technology readiness. You have worked inside systems, not only from reports they produced. You have been part of a platform implementation, a core or LOS conversion, a data migration, or a comparable effort, and you can hold a substantive conversation about how data moves and where it breaks. You have worked with engineering teams rather than only an internal IT function. Demonstrated change leadership. You have taken a significant change through an organization and made it hold: a methodology replaced, a manual process retired, a system converted, a team moved to a different way of working. We will ask you what the change was, who resisted it, and what it looks like now. Active use of AI in your own work. Not curiosity, and not a plan to learn. You are already using AI to do analysis, research, drafting, or workflow differently than you did two years ago, and you can be specific about what changed and what it did not solve. Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex client engagements from scoping through delivery. Proven ability to translate domain knowledge, client workflows, and regulatory requirements into repeatable tools, methodologies, or software capability. Executive-grade communication: concise, direct, structured, and comfortable defending tradeoffs with senior leaders and clients. Bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrated capability. Preferred Advisory or consulting background serving financial institutions on fair lending or adjacent regulatory matters. Hands-on experience conducting fair lending analysis using compliance analytics platforms, RiskExec or comparable tools. Product management experience. It will accelerate your ramp, and it is the secondary requirement. We will invest in developing the product craft. The domain expertise must arrive on day one. CRCM or comparable certification. Useful context, not a qualification on its own. A track record of thought leadership: publications, webinars, conference speaking, or industry education tied to fair lending or regulatory analytics. Experience applying AI or automation to analytics, decision support, or workflow in a regulated environment.
