Our AI‑powered Product Data Platform unifies product information, pricing, and catalog structures across the entire commerce ecosystem, enabling smarter decisions, richer customer experiences, and accelerated business growth. We’re not just building software; we’re solving the most complex product data orchestration challenges for global enterprises.

Our culture is built on the belief that great products emerge from great people. We empower our teams with a flexible work model, a collaborative environment, and a relentless focus on impact. Whether you’re a seasoned architect, a strategic consultant, or a rapid prototyping wizard, you’ll find a place at brighthush where your ideas matter from day one.

Role Overview

As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) at brighthush, you will be the technical heartbeat of our most strategic customer engagements. You’ll move beyond code reviews and backlog grooming to become an embedded partner at client sites, translating high‑level strategy into high‑performance, real‑world solutions. This hybrid role blends software architecture, consulting, and rapid prototyping, giving you the autonomy to design bespoke integration patterns while influencing the core product roadmap.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Real‑World Impact: Your work will directly transform how global brands manage and move their data in real time. You’ll guide customers through implementation, ensuring a seamless feedback loop.
  • Architectural Sovereignty: You’ll design custom integration patterns, influence product development, and act as the “Voice of the Field” for our R&D teams.
  • Best of Both Worlds: Enjoy the deep technical challenge of a senior engineer combined with the strategic influence and variety of a consultant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end technical engagements with enterprise clients, from discovery and scoping to deployment and post‑go‑live support.
  • Architect scalable, high‑performance data pipelines that integrate SaaS platforms (ERPs, PLMs, e‑commerce) with brighthush’s core product.
  • Build rapid prototypes and proof‑of‑concepts to unblock clients while aligning with long‑term product roadmaps.
  • Design and document clean catalog structures, leveraging Product Models, Families, and Association Types to ensure long‑term scalability.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non‑technical stakeholders, including C‑suite executives.
  • Collaborate with R&D to feed field insights into product enhancements and roadmap decisions.
  • Conduct workshops, training sessions, and enablement programs to empower clients and internal teams.
  • Travel to client sites (approximately 20‑30% of the time) to lead high‑intensity workshops and oversee critical go‑live moments.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting within SaaS, PIM, ERP, or e‑commerce ecosystems.
  • Proficiency in full‑stack development (PHP/Symfony, Node, React, or equivalent). Strong command of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker).
  • Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, and data flows. Proven track record of integrating complex SaaS platforms with enterprise ecosystems.
  • Experience designing scalable, maintainable data architectures and catalog structures.
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to explain technical logic to non‑technical stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset with a willingness to take ownership of ambiguous, high‑stakes decisions.
  • Comfortable with travel and on‑site client engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with product data platforms or PIM solutions.
  • Knowledge of data governance, quality, and compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
  • Background in agile methodologies and cross‑functional team leadership.
  • Previous experience in a consulting role where you served as a technical advisor to enterprise clients.

Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Architecture: Ability to design robust, scalable integration patterns and data models.
  • Consulting Excellence: Skilled at gathering requirements, creating solution blueprints, and delivering client‑centric presentations.
  • Rapid Prototyping: Comfortable building functional prototypes quickly to validate concepts.
  • Communication & Influence: Strong verbal and written communication skills; adept at influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership & Ownership: Demonstrated ability to lead projects, mentor peers, and take ownership of outcomes.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in dynamic environments, juggling multiple priorities and shifting client needs.
