Why Join brighthush?
In today’s hyper‑competitive marketplace, the customer’s voice is the most valuable differentiator. At brighthush, our mission is to turn prospects into customers and customers into passionate advocates. By building a dedicated Advocacy & Experience Marketing team, we are creating a new category of customer‑centric storytelling that fuels both pre‑sale and post‑sale growth. If you thrive on strategy, storytelling, and data‑driven impact, brighthush offers an environment where your ideas shape the future of marketing technology.
We are looking for a visionary leader who can elevate our customer narrative, drive measurable growth, and inspire a culture of advocacy across the organization. Your work will directly influence revenue, retention, and brand perception, while positioning brighthush as the go‑to partner for AI‑powered marketing excellence.
Your Impact
As the Senior Manager, Customer Advocacy & Experiential Marketing, you will own brighthush’s entire customer story and social‑proof engine—from sourcing and approvals to production, publication, and the reference bench that Sales and Customer Success rely on daily. You will co‑create content with the enterprise marketers who use brighthush, and you will be the driving force behind our Customer Advisory Boards (CABs): six in‑person programs a year where practitioners and executives from our largest accounts shape their own playbooks and ours.
This fully remote role reports to the Senior Director of Customer Evangelism & Community‑Led Growth and is open to candidates located anywhere in the continental United States. Expect approximately 20–25% travel for CABs, customer on‑sites, dinners, and industry moments.
Key Responsibilities
Own the Proof Engine End‑to‑End
- Run the customer story pipeline from sourcing through legal and brand approval to publication, delivering four published stories per quarter and expanding the bench of net‑new referenceable accounts.
- Maintain the reference database and the processes behind it, ensuring Sales and CS always know which customer can speak to which use case, industry, and outcome.
- Recruit, brief, and prepare customers for analyst evaluations, third‑party research, and press—most notably the brighthush Wave™ for Content Creation and Optimization Solutions.
- Leverage AI to compress the production cycle—first drafts, transcript synthesis, asset variants—while applying your judgment on narrative, accuracy, and business outcome.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Brand teams to ensure all content meets regulatory and brand guidelines.
- Track and report on the health of the reference bench, including usage metrics, renewal impact, and expansion opportunities.
Co‑Create Content with Customers
- Own the byline, webinar, podcast, and joint‑session calendar with customers, built around durable themes for enterprise marketing practitioners: AI search discoverability, brand voice in the AI era, structuring the AI‑powered marketing team, and moving from AI experiments to governed production.
- Partner with Content & Communications—and the content agency bench that engages through them—to get co‑created work produced and published on schedule.
- Supply customer insight, story raw material, and program requirements to the team that owns our community hub and self‑paced learning.
- Develop a library of reusable content assets (templates, scripts, slide decks) that can be customized for different industries and buyer personas.
- Ensure all co‑created content aligns with brighthush’s brand voice, tone, and messaging framework.
Drive the Customer Advisory Board Programs & Post‑Sale Customer On‑Sites
- Design and run four User CABs and two Executive CABs a year in partnership with the Senior Director: session design, run‑of‑show, customer speaker recruitment and prep, content, and post‑event story and asset capture.
- Program for a room of 30–40 practitioners from our Top 100 and strategic accounts at roughly a 2:1 customer‑to‑brighthush ratio, with Product Marketing and Product contributing sessions rather than pitches.
- Drive programming for customer on‑site workshops as needed in partnership with brighthush’s Customer Success Team.
- Own content development for the surrounding experiential layer—trends dinners, customer webinars, on‑site sessions—in partnership with the Manager of Experiential & Account‑Based Marketing.
- Facilitate post‑CAB debriefs to capture insights, action items, and success stories for future marketing initiatives.
Deploy Proof into Demand
- Own how proof assets and referenceable champions get deployed across pre‑sale and post‑sale programs: on‑sites, dinners, industry moments, and the enterprise sales motion.
- Maintain the cross‑pollination standard—every experiential moment carries at least one customer voice into a prospect conversation, or one late‑stage prospect into a customer moment—and design it into the run‑of‑show rather than leaving it to chance.
- Collaborate with CS and our Forward Deployed Engineers and Managers to identify accounts where something notable is happening before it becomes a renewal conversation.
- Integrate proof assets into the sales enablement library and ensure they are easily accessible to the sales team.
Measure Behavior Change
- Measure positive product behavior change among program attendees at 90 days, plus usage deltas pre‑ and post‑engagement.
- Report quarterly on Top 100 coverage and stakeholder depth, GRR against matched untouched cohorts, expansion and services pipeline sourced, and advocacy conversion.
- Partner with Marketing Ops and RevOps to make the scorecard reportable rather than anecdotal, and own the definitions on the advocacy side.
- Use data to refine program design, identify high‑impact segments, and demonstrate ROI to senior leadership.
Essential Qualifications
- 8–12 years of experience in customer marketing, advocacy, content marketing, or communications at a B2B SaaS company, with meaningful time spent on enterprise accounts.
- A proven track record of producing high‑impact customer stories, case studies, and reference programs that drive sales and retention.
- Deep understanding of the enterprise marketing landscape, including the challenges and opportunities of AI‑powered marketing.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives.
- Experience managing cross‑functional teams and external partners (content agencies, legal, PR) to deliver on tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical mindset: ability to design, track, and report on metrics that demonstrate the business impact of advocacy and experiential programs.
- Excellent project management skills, with a proven ability to juggle multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining high quality.
- Comfortable with travel (20–25%) and a willingness to engage with customers in person at CABs, on‑sites, and industry events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a fast‑growing, AI‑centric marketing technology company.
- Background in designing and executing Customer Advisory Boards or similar executive‑level forums.
- Proficiency with AI‑driven content creation tools (e.g., GPT‑based platforms, transcript synthesis, automated asset generation).
- Knowledge of enterprise sales processes and the ability to collaborate closely with Sales, CS, and Product teams.
- Experience in measuring and reporting on advocacy ROI, including metrics such as NPS, CSAT, GRR, and expansion revenue.
- Strong network within the B2B SaaS marketing community and a reputation for thought leadership.
Skills & Competencies
- Strategic thinking and the ability to translate vision into actionable programs.
- Storytelling mastery—crafting narratives that resonate with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Data‑driven decision making—using analytics to refine programs and demonstrate impact.
- Collaboration and influence—working effectively with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
- Adaptability—thriving in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
- Customer‑centric mindset—always putting the customer’s voice at the center of every initiative.
