Senior .NET Azure Developer [W2 only]

Position: Senior .NET Azure Developer Location: 100% Remote Duration: Contract through October 1, 2027, with potential conversion to full-time. Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer III with strong hands-on expertise in C#, .NET, and Microsoft Azure to develop, maintain, and modernize scalable cloud applications. The role focuses on upgrading legacy ASP.NET Web Forms applications, developing REST APIs and microservices, and implementing secure cloud solutions. The ideal candidate should have experience with Azure services, database technologies, application security, and CI/CD pipelines. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to code quality, and the ability to collaborate with distributed teams. Must-Have Skills: Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core. Experience developing and maintaining ASP.NET Web Forms applications. Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure App Services. Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices. Hands-on experience modernizing legacy applications. Strong understanding of secure application architecture and secure coding practices. Experience with Azure Key Vault, including secrets, certificates, and cryptographic key management. Knowledge of API authentication, authorization, and data protection. Experience with data encryption, tokenization, and secure data storage. Understanding of PCI DSS and regulatory compliance requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and SQL. Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB or MongoDB. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments, preferably using Azure DevOps. Experience with Azure Monitor and Application Insights for monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of application performance optimization and distributed systems troubleshooting. Knowledge of software design principles, coding standards, and maintainable application architecture. Experience with code reviews, debugging, testing, and source code management. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to collaborate with teams across different time zones. Must be eligible to convert to full-time employment without visa sponsorship. Must be willing to transition from contract to full-time employment. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud applications using C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, and Azure App Services. Modernize legacy ASP.NET Web Forms applications and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices. Implement secure coding practices, manage application secrets using Azure Key Vault, and ensure compliance with data security standards, including PCI DSS. Develop and optimize database integrations using SQL Server and NoSQL technologies such as Cosmos DB or MongoDB. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and support automated testing, application deployments, and environment troubleshooting. Monitor application performance using Azure Monitor and Application Insights, troubleshoot production issues, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with development and security teams.
