Job Description
Required: 5-9+ years of experience REACT Java Spring boot Open Telemetry Required Skills Java + Spring Boot — building and maintaining backend services/APIs (BFFs, microservices) React — building modern web UIs to replace legacy desktop clients Kubernetes — deploying and operating containerized services in a cloud environment Experience with event-driven / messaging architectures (Kafka experience a strong plus, given the platform's move away from ActiveMQ) Comfort working in a microservices environment with multiple interdependent backend services REST API design and integration experience ***Notes: For this role, we're looking for candidates with extensive hands-on frontend expertise. Nice to haves: Claude or GitHub/Co-Pilot development experience DevOps experience - how to deploy Exposure to stacks Unit testing but not "deep testing" knowledge Systems modernization experience Nice to Have: Experience modernizing/migrating legacy systems (rip-and-replace or strangler-pattern experience) Real-time systems experience (WebSockets, live bidding, trading platforms, or similar low-latency domains) Exposure to cloud infra (AWS, especially S3/CloudFront) Auction, marketplace, or e-commerce domain experience Observability/tracing experience in distributed systems Soft Skills
