Position Overview
As a Senior Strategic Customer Success Manager – Financial Services, you will be the primary post‑sales partner for a curated portfolio of our most critical financial services customers. Your mandate is to translate brighthush’s technical excellence into measurable business outcomes, fostering deep executive relationships and positioning brighthush as a strategic ally rather than a vendor. You will collaborate closely with Solutions Architects, Technical Support, Product Management, and Sales to ensure that every touchpoint delivers value, drives adoption, and unlocks new growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Account Leadership: Own the end‑to‑end customer journey for each account, from onboarding through renewal and expansion. Build trust across all stakeholder levels—practitioners, security teams, CISOs, and executive sponsors—by understanding their business objectives, risk appetite, and regulatory obligations.
- Business‑Focused Onboarding: Lead the creation of success plans, stakeholder alignment sessions, and value‑delivery milestones. Coordinate with Solutions Architects to ensure that technical implementation aligns with business goals, and that the customer’s roadmap is clear and actionable.
- Executive Engagement & Advocacy: Conduct regular executive business reviews, strategic planning workshops, and high‑level escalation calls. Serve as the voice of the customer within brighthush, translating their needs into product enhancements, roadmap priorities, and cross‑functional initiatives.
- Renewal & Expansion Strategy: Partner with Sales to identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities, mitigate renewal risk, and develop multi‑year account plans that reflect the evolving needs of financial institutions.
- Issue & Escalation Management: Act as the business‑facing lead on escalations, coordinating with Technical Support and Engineering to resolve issues swiftly while maintaining transparency with the customer.
- Thought Leadership & Community Building: Represent brighthush at industry events, webinars, and user groups. Share insights on security best practices, regulatory compliance, and emerging trends in the financial services sector.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of enterprise customer‑facing experience, preferably within financial services, cybersecurity, or adjacent domains.
- Proven track record of acting as a strategic business partner—demonstrated ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear, measurable business value.
- Deep familiarity with financial services regulatory frameworks (SOC 2, FedRAMP, PCI DSS, operational resilience standards) and how they shape security procurement decisions.
- Working knowledge of at least one of the following domains: software supply chain security, vulnerability management, DevSecOps, container security, or application security. You need not be a technical implementer, but you must speak credibly about business and security outcomes.
- High‑level executive presence, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong emotional intelligence, prioritization instincts, and the ability to navigate ambiguity and complex stakeholder dynamics.
- Self‑starter mindset with a passion for ownership, autonomy, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing strategic accounts at a cybersecurity or infrastructure software company.
- Direct experience selling to or supporting banks, credit unions, or other regulated financial institutions.
