About brighthush

brighthush is more than a fintech startup; it is the catalyst that is redefining how the world’s largest enterprises manage, spend, and grow capital. Our mission is to build the smartest, most intuitive financial infrastructure that seamlessly embeds itself into every dollar a company spends. By automating the flow of over $200 B in annualized spend across more than 70,000 organizations, we empower finance teams to move from spreadsheet‑driven operations to strategy‑driven decision making. Our real‑time platform authorizes payments, flags risk, categorizes spend, and closes books—delivering a 5 % cost savings and a 16 % revenue growth for clients in their first year.

We are a high‑velocity, high‑impact team that thrives on agency, urgency, and a relentless focus on outcomes. At brighthush, we value what you’ve built over where you trained, and we expect every team member to own problems end‑to‑end and make consequential decisions that shape the future of finance. If you’re ready to build systems that directly influence how companies move and manage billions, brighthush is the place to do it.

Why This Role Matters

Finance is the nervous system of an enterprise. When the nervous system is sluggish, the entire organism slows down. As a Senior Strategic Enterprise Customer Activation Manager, you will be the catalyst that turns sluggish finance functions into high‑performance, AI‑driven engines. Your work will directly influence how Fortune 500 companies allocate capital, manage risk, and unlock new revenue streams.

Role Overview

In this role, you will not simply manage accounts—you will transform how our largest, most strategic enterprise customers run their finances. This position is designed for seasoned professionals who have navigated complex organizational change, speak the language of CFOs, and use AI as a core part of their daily workflow. You will be embedded in brighthush’s most critical accounts, responsible for driving genuine workflow transformation, not just onboarding completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full transformation journey: Lead the end‑to‑end adoption lifecycle—from initial assessment and implementation to agentic workflow adoption—ensuring measurable business outcomes for each enterprise customer.
  • Champion change‑management strategy: Map stakeholders, diagnose resistance, build internal coalitions, and drive adoption past the finish line, turning transformation into a sustainable cultural shift.
  • Quantify and communicate impact: Translate brighthush’s value into CFO‑friendly metrics—close‑cycle improvement, spend visibility, variance reduction, and ROI—rather than just product usage statistics.
  • Executive stakeholder management: Run independent, cross‑layer relationships with C‑suite executives and other senior stakeholders, building trust and influencing strategy.
  • Leverage AI daily: Use AI tools to prepare for calls, build materials, synthesize data, identify account risk, and operate at a pace that outstrips traditional methods.
  • Educate on agentic finance capabilities: Position new workflows as fundamental changes to finance operations, not mere feature add‑ons.
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner with Account Executives, Technical Consulting, Product, and Engineering to deliver seamless implementations and expand brighthush’s footprint within accounts.
  • Feed back into product: Surface patterns, gaps, and opportunities from your accounts to shape brighthush’s product roadmap and future releases.

Day‑to‑Day Activities

  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with CFOs and finance leadership, presenting data‑driven insights and next‑step recommendations.
  • Facilitate workshops that align finance teams around new AI‑enabled processes, ensuring adoption at every level.
  • Analyze spend data to uncover inefficiencies, then design and implement AI‑driven solutions that close those gaps.
  • Coordinate with Product and Engineering to prioritize feature requests that deliver the highest business value.
  • Mentor junior activation managers, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Essential Qualifications

  • Enterprise change‑management expertise: Proven track record of driving workflow adoption in complex organizations, navigating real stakeholder resistance, and delivering measurable results.
  • AI fluency: Habitual use of AI tools in daily work—preparing for calls, synthesizing information, building customer‑facing materials, and automating repetitive tasks.
  • Financial impact communication: Ability to walk a CFO through the business case for a workflow change, connect implementation milestones to P&L outcomes, and deliver executive updates in financial terms.
  • Technical acumen: Credibility in conversations about integrations, APIs, and workflow architecture with Product and Engineering teams.
  • 7+ years in enterprise customer success or implementations: Deep experience navigating complex organizations and senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agentic workflow experience: Demonstrated success in adopting AI‑powered workflows at scale, understanding friction points and ensuring transformation sticks.
  • Finance domain depth: Exposure to FP&A, accounting ecosystems, expense management, or CFO‑adjacent workflows.
  • Commercial impact evidence: Specific metrics on expansion, retention, or time‑to‑value outcomes.
  • Background at an AI‑first or AI transformation company: Experience where rethinking workflows around AI was part of the product or culture.
  • High‑growth or startup experience: Comfort operating in ambiguity and rapid change.
  • Independent C‑suite relationships: Built and maintained without relying on a sales counterpart.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic thinking and execution at scale
  • Exceptional communication—both written and verbal—across all organizational levels
  • Data‑driven decision making and storytelling
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills
  • Adaptability and resilience in fast‑paced environments
  • Passion for continuous learning and AI innovation

Success Metrics

We measure your success by the tangible value you deliver to our clients:

  • Reduction in close‑cycle time by at least 30 % within the first 12 months.
  • Increase in spend visibility score (as measured by internal dashboards) by 25 %.
  • Retention rate of 95 % or higher for accounts under your stewardship.
  • Expansion revenue growth of 15 % year‑over‑year within your portfolio.
  • Positive feedback from CFOs and finance leadership in quarterly surveys.

At brighthush, your career trajectory is as dynamic as the products we build. As a Senior Strategic Enterprise Customer Activation Manager, you’ll:

  • Progress into senior leadership roles such as Director of Enterprise Customer Success or VP of Customer Experience.
  • Lead cross‑functional initiatives that shape product strategy, go‑to‑market plans, and global expansion.
  • Participate in executive‑level strategy sessions, influencing the direction of brighthush’s platform and market positioning.
  • Access a robust learning ecosystem—internal workshops, AI labs, industry conferences, and mentorship from seasoned leaders.
  • Earn certifications in change management, AI ethics, and financial analytics to further enhance your expertise.

Work Environment & Company Culture
